Brent Anderson

Fiberglass, Hydraulic Trailer Operator, Shrink Wrap, 1987 - present

Brent is from Shady Side and started working with HYY right out of High School. He first worked with the Haul-out crew, then moved to the Fiberglass-Composite Division.

Brent has been one of the guys who is interested in learning new techniques and processes as they evolve in the Marine industry. As an example, he and Andy Hunt implemented the generally accepted but ineffective gel-cool blister repair technique of the time. The present and very effective procedure that Brent employs is to peel off the wet laminate, cool then heat to dry, and cure the remaining laminate, fair and coat with vinylester, and the heat again.

Brent also operates the Brownell hydraulic trailer for moving large vessels around the yard and shrink-wrapping is another side job that he does well.

For Leisure, Brent hunts, surfs and has a side business manufacturing custom knives that sell online at 5th Arrow Custom Knives.
