MARINE CONTRACTORS RULES & REGULATIONS

FOR WORKING AT HARTGE YACHT YARD

All contractors must adhere to the following:

Read, sign and abide by Hartge Yacht Yard's Environmental contract, which is available from the office.
Have insurance certificate on file at Hartge Yacht Yard with Hartge Yacht Yard as an "additional insured" and with the following coverage:

$1,000,000.00 limits per occurrence of Marina Operators/Ship Repairers
$1,000,000.00 limits per occurrence, $2,000,000.00 aggregate of Comprehensive General Liability, including products and completed operations coverage.
Workmen's Compensation if applicable.
On hazardous materials handlers, appropriate coverage or chemical spill coverage.
If working in 700 Dock covered slips, limits are $5,000,000.00 per occurrence!!!

Contractors will not move any jack stands.
Only work at Hartge Yacht Yard during regular working hours which are as follows:

Weekdays 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Saturday 9:00 a.m. to Noon

Supply written proof of boat owner's permission to work on boat.
Sign in and out each day.
Provide copy of certificate of OSHA training covering HAZARD ASSESSMENT TRAINING for PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE) to meet OSHA's Final Rule 29 CFR 1910, HAZWOPER Training (29 CFR 1910.120), HAZARD Communication Program (29 CFR 1910.1200) and Right to Know Law.

Have in their possession Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for any chemical substance that they might bring onto property.

Contractors shall not work on piers, using piers as workbench or to block access or damage the piers at any time.

Hartge Yacht Yard, Inc. must be held harmless from actions of third parties brought as a result of acts of the contractors.
