GALESVILLE,  MD.  ON WEST RIVER

DIRECTIONS

From Alexandria, Virginia/downtown, Washington, D.C. (SW,SE):

• Take Suitland Parkway or the Beltway to Route 4 (Pennsylvania Avenue) which becomes Southern Maryland Blvd.  Cross the Patuxent River from Prince George's County into Anne Arundel County and take the first exit to Wayson's Corner.

• Bear left at traffic light in Wayson's Corner onto Route 408.

• After 5 1/2 miles at traffic circle take Route 2 north toward Annapolis.  (Go half way around circle to get onto Route 2 north).

• About 1.3 miles turn right onto Route 255, Owensville Road.  Go approximately 3 miles until you come to a traffic light, and go straight through traffic light into Galesville.  Go 0.8 miles and turn right onto Church Lane (at A.M.E. Church).  After 0.4 miles you will be at Hartge Yacht Yard.

·         From Washington, DC (NW,NE), Montgomery County, Northern Prince George's County:

·         Take Route 50 east towards Annapolis.  Take the Davidsonville Exit, Route 424, bear to the right, stay on Route 424, when you get to traffic light (intersection with Rt. 214), go straight through the traffic light to stay on Route 424 (Birdsville Road).  Route 424 will end at Route 2.

·         Take a right turn to go south on Route 2.

·         Take the very first left turn onto Mill Swamp Road. 

·         Continue on Mill Swamp Road until it comes to a stop at Route 468, Muddy Creek Road.

·         Turn right onto Muddy Creek Road/Route 468.  Go to the traffic light, which intersects Route 255. 

·         Turn left into Galesville.  Go 0.8 miles.

·         Turn right onto Church Lane (at A.M.E. Church).  Go 0.4 miles and you will be at Hartge Yacht Yard.

From Baltimore:

·         From I-95 take I-895 thru Baltimore Harbor Tunnel, to I-695 South.  Take exit for I-97 south.

·         Take I-97 for about 16 miles, (watch for where I-97 bears left and Routes 3 and 301 goes straight) to Route 50 to Annapolis.  Stay in right hand lane and exit onto Aris T. Allen Blvd.  (exit 22)

·         Go about 1.4 miles take exit for MD-2/Solomons Island Road/MD-2 south.

·          After about 3 or 4 miles at 7th traffic light after bridge, turn left onto Route 214.

·          After about 1 mile turn right onto Route 468, Muddy Creek Road. 

·         After 5 miles, at a traffic light, at Route 255, turn left into Galesville, go 0.8  miles and turn right onto Church Lane (at A.M.E. Church).  After 0.4 miles you will be at Hartge Yacht Yard.
